The Training is split into 3 phases. Each Rider will be allocated a start time for each phase:
Course Walk (Phase 1):
A BE Accredited Coach will conduct a course walk at the stated start of day ie 9.10am (approx). This is part of the training exercise/
competition and should not be missed. The course walk will be split into 2 groups, if required, to ensure all riders gain maximum
benefit from the opportunity.
Pre-Event Training (Phase 2):
Each rider will present themselves to the BE Accredited
Coach and receive
an 8 minute warm up prior to completing Phase 3.
Riders will be warmed up in groups of 2.
Competition (Phase 3):
Riders will jump one round watched by the Coach, and receive advice. This round will be scored and jumping faults deducted.
Riders will then continue, once the bell has sounded, to Jump a second round assesed by the Coach. This round will also be
scored and jumping faults deducted. Scores from both rounds will be added together to provide a Final score.
Score/comments sheets will be given to each rider at the end of the competition.

Class 1: Intro Clear Round Schooling
Starts at approx 8.15am. This class will be limited to 40 Tickets.
Open to any horse or pony. Fences wil be approx 0.85cm.
Entry Fee: BE Members £6, Non Members £7 per round.

Class 2: Intro Grasshoppers
Starts at 9.20am prompt.
Fences wil be approx 0.90cm.
Riders in the 2007 Top 100 List and ponies accepted for the 2007/ 2008
Pony Trials will automatically incure a 5 penalty handicap.
Entry Fee: BE Members £28, Non Members £31.

Class 3: Pre-Novice Clear Round Schooling Not to start before 1.30pm. This class will be limited to 20 Tickets.
Open to any horse or pony. Fences wil be approx 0.90cm.
Entry Fee: BE Members £6, Non Members £7 per round.

Class 4: Pre-Novice Grasshoppers Fences wil be approx 1.00m.
Riders in the 2007 Top 100 List and ponies accepted for the 2007/ 2008
Pony Trials will automatically incure a 5 penalty handicap.
Entry Fee: BE Members £28, Non Members £31.

The Top 8 in Class 2 & 4 qualify for the Final

The course will consist of 10 fences and include a double. Marks will be
awarded in the following 4 categories:

A: The horse's balance and rhythm.
TOTAL: 10 Marks

B: The horse's pace and quality of canter.
TOTAL: 10 Marks

C: The rider's ability to present the horse correctly to the fence and ride accurate lines.
TOTAL: 10 Marks

D: The rider's position, balance and ability to follow the horse's movement over the fence.
TOTAL: 20 Marks

|
TOTAL AVAILABLE: 50 Marks

The Show Jumping rounds will not be timed but jumping penalties will count:
